Presscrete offer another alternative to paved driveways and this is fixed shingle.
A Fixed shingle drive is made up of a concrete base and then shingle is rolled into a hot bitumen liquid layer which in effect glues the shingle to the base. Then a fine dressing of loose shingle is applied to finish.
This look is far superior to a normal loose shingle drive as you get almost no shingle spilling onto road or caught in your shoes. The shingle stays in place.
This is a very hard wearing surface and is relatively cheaper than paved driveways and may suit your property or can be combined with paving to compliment your property.
